Tech For Share marketplace hero

The acorn.

Tech For Share started with a simple mission: make finding and exchanging hardware parts faster and easier for repair professionals. The founder, frustrated by long shipping times and the difficulty of sourcing components, wanted a platform that connects repair shops directly. So they can trade and share parts efficiently, instead of waiting weeks on an upstream supplier.

The brief: a trusted brand for a market that doesn't yet have one, and a digital platform that turns isolated repair shops into a collaborative network.

We were tired of waiting six weeks for a part that the shop across the street already has on a shelf.

What we planted.

We developed the full brand identity from scratch: logotype, voice, palette, and a typographic system that reads as confidently technical, without being cold.

Then we built the platform: a clean, professional marketplace that bridges the gap between hardware repair shops. Technicians search for available parts, contact verified shops, and complete secure exchanges, fast, reliable, fair. Built for laptops, computers, and mobile phones, with a structure that extends naturally to whatever the community needs next.

The oak.

Since launch, Tech For Share has grown into a trusted hub for the repair community, helping businesses source parts faster, reduce downtime, and build stronger partnerships across the industry.

The platform turned what used to be a six-week supply problem into a same-week one, sometimes same-day, when the next shop is on the next street.

How we built it.

  1. § 01

    Discovery.

Mapped the journey of a typical part request: which shops asked, which had stock, where the friction lived.

  2. § 02

    Brand direction.

Built an identity for a market that hadn't had one. Professional, technical, fair, confident enough to anchor trust between strangers.

  3. § 03

    Marketplace built.

Listings, search, verified-shop profiles, secure messaging, exchange flow. Architecture that extends to new categories.

  4. § 04

    Launch + community.

First shops onboarded, first parts traded, first feedback loop. Tuned weekly against real technician behaviour.

  5. § 05

    Still tending.

Growing the network. Watching the categories expand. The next chapter is whatever the community asks for.
